Summoning Requirement: Piece of Cracked Dimension.
Fighting Papulatus Clock. A ghost plant named Papulatus lies deep in Ludibrium with a robot clock. Protecting Ludibrium is a highly difficult series of quests which requires at least level(Maplestory powerleveling) 80+ characters to complete it. In accepting final mission "Papulatus", a person must accept Ludibrium or against the gatekeeper, medal, it is a key into the power of the room, where Papulatus tower.
Papulatus Clock is like a Yeti-and-Pepe combination. It has a large amount of HP(MapleStory Mesos), and cycles through an active and inactive mode. When it is inactive, the whole clock sits still, everything retracts and nothing much can be done about it. It cannot attack anybody, and neither can anybody attack it.
It also has the ability and the lower Darkstars Darkstars summon high, and little or no movement. They usually on the platform, can knock off the assassin and archers and their high damage, and will explode, plenty of damage in Maplestory. Other than that, it can also use dispel, which can pose a threat to characters with Low HP. Mages losing Magic Guard is one of the main dangers.

Pay To Play?
The latest class to be released in MapleGlobal is the Dragon based wizard, Evan. Released in patch 0.84 last Wednesday March 31st; dragon fanatics and long time maplers were looking forward to a new change in pace with this new creative attempt at new game play in MapleStory. Little did they know, Evan was to be the first pay to play class.Nexon decided to test a new concept introduced to the Dual Blade class in KMS, the purchasing of skills in the form of Mastery Books via the Cash Shop. Nexon first announced that the Mastery Books for Magic Guard, Magic Booster, and Critical Magic would be available in the game via the Cash Shop and elsewhere through drops. Having no luck finding the Mastery Books from monsters, tickets and forum topics about the issue began to pop up. Hime, the community head honcho, finally made an announcement on Sleepywood forums regarding this issue.

I originally said that the books were earn-able in-game as that was the information given to me. From reading all the current discussions about the books through my own forums and fansites, I went to find more information.
The current mastery books in the Cash Shop are only available in the Cash Shop. In the near future, those books will be available through other methods. With that said, other mastery books are available in-game through rare boss drops.

Although many maplers were upset by the mere fact of these skill books even being placed in the Cash Shop many were angry that they were mislead into making an Evan not knowing that they would be required to purchase skill books for skills like Magic Guard which is vital for any magician to advance beyond level 50.
“See, thats the whole thing… i dropped 25k on useless cash shop pixels so i can look at something nice when i play, and ill gladly mts gacha for a new event and pretty much whatever i wanna try in the game i have no problems paying for. i consider it part of my entertainment expenses and esp in winter months, ill spend alot more time gaming. i whole-heartedly have no problem with the business end of gaming or anything in life. im even one of those ppl who refuses to jailbreak my iphone and will gladly buy itunes cards to support the artists rather than DL everything for free.
the point that pisses me off here is 100% the principle. Nexon should have very clearly stated that this class requires NX useage to level and play appropriately. Honestly its obvious why they chose MG as the skill to Cash shop–it HAS to be maxed on a mage. I have no problem forking over 2 bucks to buy it so long as it is advertised as such. although i think its shitty to pick such an obvious skill, i can understand it and whomever decided this was genius! if it were my business and i was going to release a cash-based class (even cash based for a limited time) id choose MG as well for any mage class since its not something u can go without. but it needs to be clearly advertised! and it should be clearly stated that if you want to participate in the leveling event and get your once in a maple lifetime glasses, then you MUST pay 2$ for a book. they also need to clearly state that u CANNOT gift said book from your main account or w/e other account. see thats my other problem–i keep my NX on my merching account and just gift from it. you cannot gift those books to evans, not even with prepaid NX cards.
i am pretty sure i speak for 99% of the gamers who are pissed off by this move that it is def not about 2$, and it is wholly about the fact it was done so sneaky and shadily. If nexon wants their gamers to be happy and keep spending hard earned money on their titles then they need to be upfront and respectful of us. Its a fine line of mutual respect and enjoyment when it comes to gaming. Something small can sour your very best, loyal and longtime player base. I can appreciate the genius in marketing, however, i am so disgusted by the shadiness that i just have no desire to play this game at the moment.
im also pissed since mage players tend to be ones who are really in love with the class and are used to the underdog nature of the lolmage right? most mage fans are really pretty diehard when it comes to the class and sticking MG as a cash only item leaves a nasty aftertaste thats pretty hard to rinse away. this is definitely NOT about 2$ at all and I hope in the future Nexon realises just how much they lost by not doing this evan rollout with a little more transparency. Lets hope for the sake of those who are making DBs that they clearly state any CS requirements. i kind of feel like the evan was an experiment or test group and im pissed they chose a god damned mage with a stupid dragon that appeals to so many kids as the vessel to do this.”

The “Mastery Books Fiasco” has caused many longtime maplers and loyal customers to quit the game and Nexon’s services and disheartened many others. Nexon wanted to test how the community would react to pay to play characters and it looks like they have their answer.

Can aran get Mark of Naricain???
Because of the storyline involving Explorers centers around Crimsonwood Keep, Aran and Cygnus Knights can not participate in the CWKPQ. Equally there are places and events Explorers can not do because they are limited only to Arans and Cygnus Knights.
It's also to balance the power levels. While the Arans and Cygnus Knights have the potential to do serious amounts of damage, certain limitations on how powerful a character can be must be instituted. Arans have the ability to do massive combos for huge amounts of damage and Cygnus Knights have combinations of skills from various classes for huge boosts in power.
Take this into account as well. Cygnus Knight and Aran haven't been out that long and truth be told, the Black magician, the ancient dark castle beyond the Sea of Dead Trees in El Nath, and the expansions of what may soon follow with the Time Temple haven't even be completed yet. In short there's still so much awaiting Cygnus Knights and Arans that has yet to come. I'm fairly certain Arans and Cygnus Knights will get a similar item to the Mark of Naricain. Just wait and see what comes. You might be surprised and pleased.

The best way of gaining experience
The best way of gaining experience at the start of Maple Island is by fighting the Shrooms and the Orange Mushrooms, while In Victoria Island, the Slimes and the Stumps.
In improving your accuracy in hitting your enemies, you should raise your DEX if you are a warrior, bowman or a thief. Increase your INT and LUK if you are a magician.
When you are low on Hit Points, find a safe place where you can “rest” and restore your health back by being stationary for a few seconds. In this way, you can avoid losing 10% of your experience points should you “die” due to loss of HP. But you are exempted from this if you are still a beginner.
Each time you move up a level, you will receive 5 Ability Points. You can use these to increase your HP, MP, STR, DEX, INT or LUK. It is suggested, however, that you use your Ability Points only for your STR, DEX, INT or LUK since your HP and MP increases automatically as you level up.
Monsters may drop a common item like a snail shell or it may also drop a rare item like an axe. Some even drop two different kinds of ores – a jewel and a mineral ore. (IMAGE: MISCELLANEOUS>"ORES")
Pick up and store a lot of ores which you may find in the game. These are extremely rare and are needed in upgrading your armor and weapons.
You can check if you are successful in picking up an item or killing an enemy for experience points by looking at the confirmation status found at the bottom right of the screen.
To acquire armor and weapons, there is a requirement of every 5 consecutive levels.
You should not be afraid to undertake quests. They were designed to make the game more fun and exciting. It is through these quests that you can also gain experiences, equipment, items and mesos. Some of the quests are easy for beginners, while others require a significant amount of levels and playing time that come along for the task. Most quests have a requirement of every 5 consecutive levels, which is based in their degree of difficulty.
Power and speed are vital in fighting monsters. Try and see if you can determine the effectiveness of using a particular weapon compared to the others by their intrinsic characteristics. An axe has an Attack Power of 27 but is a “slow” weapon, while a Saber may have a much lesser Attack Power of 20 but is 2 and ? times faster. The damage inflicted and hits caused will roughly work out the same over time.
The bowmen, magicians and thieves are capable of long range attacks, but need to keep up with their arrows, throwing stars, and MP’s, respectively. Warriors, on the other hand, rely mostly on close range attacks. But since they have large HP and attacking levels, they have the capability to fight stronger monsters.
Should you feel that the place you are in is too crowded, you can always switch to a different channel and still remain in the same place.

Farm monster crystals
Where can I farm monster crystals?
This section comes by request, and is from my personal experience. If you have found a better place to farm etc drops, please let me know!
Basic Monster Crystal 1 (31-50): Cold eye. Level 40, decent experience. Also drops chaos scrolls. Best map is 'Dungeon: Another Path'Basic Monster Crystal 2 (51-60): Two choices here, go either to Coolie Zombies (The Forest of Dead Trees) or Skeleton Soldiers (Camp 1, 2 or 3). Zombies drop gold teeth, Skeletons drop 60% glove for attack scrolls. Your choice.Basic Monster Crystal 3 (61-70): Hidden Street: Authorized Personnel Only. Site found here have a good spawn rate. They aren't great for exp or other drops, but that's not why your here. This map can be acessed by hidden portal, on top of the skinny platform in Alcando Research Insitue: Lab - Area C-2.Intermediate Monster Crystal 1 (71-80): Harps. Enough said. I would reccomend channel surfing on the maps, untill you find someone training or leeching there. Either ask for the drops, or run around like the looting fiend you are.Intermediate Monster Crystal 2 (81-90): Blood Harps, Gobys. Similar to the last level. If you are training/leeching there great! If not, loot, loot, and loot some more.Intermediate Monster Crystal 3 (91-100): Red Wyverns. Similar to the last two, loot!Advanced Monster Crystal 1 (101-110): Newties, Skeles. Train/loot.Advanced Monster Crystal 2 (111-120): Oh boy. Are you ever screwed now. Skelosaurus is your only choice. Monsters in the Temple of Time drop the right stuff, but Skelesaurus is much better. Advanced Monster Crystal 3 (121+): I hope you enjoy grinding, because that's what you're going to have to do. Chief Oblivion Monks, Chief Oblivion Guardians. Reccomneded Level 160+. The advantage here is that by this time your making Reverse and Timeless equipment, and you need the peices of time these guys drop anyway.I've reccomended maps for some of the more ambiguos ones, but the rest are fairly obvious. Get grinding!

Yes, the maker skill does have a natural variation built into it, that can spit out an above average, or below average item, regardless of what you put into it. I believe this is affected by your hands stat, and your maker skill level, but how, I don't know.Any further questions can be addressed to me in PM format, and I shall do my best to answer them!

Using the Maker Skill
Unless you are making average equipment, and gathering all the materials yourself, the maker skill gets very expensive, very quickly. In my opnion, the best time to be using the maker skill is levels 90-200. This is when it becomes excessively difficult to get your equips another way, and you have a stable enough income to be able to afford the expenses.By no means am I saying you shouldn抰 use the maker skill before level 90, I抦 just saying it will take a lot more mesos out of your pocket than you expect it to.

Cygnus Knights/Knights Of Cygnus
The Cygnus Knights or Knights of Cygnus are a character 'order' available in most game versions, and soon to be available to the rest as well. To get a knight, make sure your character is level 20 and higher (in certain versions, there is no need to have a level 20 character beforehand) After the patch, when you login the trailer will show up, then you will be moved to a black map with Nineheart talking to you asking if you want to have a knight. If you register for the recruitment for Order members, a new Order character will be made with the class Noblesse.
Cygnus Knights receive 6 AP upon each level up, they will gain 5 AP at level 70 onwards. but the highest level they can attain is 120.
When getting the 1st job advancement at level 10, you can become an Apprentice Knight.

They can also merge with Ignis to release massive fire magic. Those who always strive to better themselves and are wary of self and enemy can become a Blaze Wizard.
Wind Archer / Wind Breaker Attacking the enemy from a far, Wind Archers are guided by the spirit of wind, Ventus. Ventus can be summoned to guard or fight, and can imbue its power to the bow as well as its owner. When a rational mind meets infinite freedom, a Wind Archer is born.
Night Walker / Night Walker Luck, skill, and a bit of cunning separate the Night Walkers from the rest. Though marked and assisted by the spirit of darkness, Umbra, Night Walkers put great importance in independence, which leads some to learn poison skills. Night Walkers serve justice in places where light does not reach, so those who are willing to serve in the shadows may become a Night Walker.
Thunder Breaker / Striker Having strength and the power,Thunder Breakers deal with the enemy up close.They are teamed up with the spirit of lightning,Fulgar.It can be summoned to fight,or to simply guard,and imbune itself into the knuckles and its owner.One may have the pleasure of power,but that power must not be used in the wrong way.Thus,a spirit of kindness must be mixed with bodily attacks,making a kind,willfull Thunder Breaker.
Notes The character that creates the Noblesse affects the character through levels. Every 10 levels on the original character raises the character’s blessing skill by 1 point. The max level of the skill is 20 (level 200 on the original character). You can do this quest when you are lvl 10 and this quest is the 2nd best quest!

Req: 40 Orange Mushroom Caps, 10 Mushroom Spores
Prize: 25 Red Potions + 300 exp

Well, do you? The key to making mesos is patience. If you don't have muchpatience, you can't really get a lot of money. For example, if you got anabove average Mithril pole arm that you are selling, but no one wants to buyit yet, you should wait. If you succesfully sell it, which is like 100k foran above average one, that's a good start. But if you give up and NPC it,you only get 25k! that is a 75k difference! Patience is the key to a goodmerchant.

Well, like metioned before, you need patience!!! PATIENCE!!! Yes, you do!Also, you have to be smart. For example, getting a lot of stuff people needlike leather. This way is a lot harder than merchandising because you acually have to kill!This part is more about saving mesos than earning them, but i guess they're the same thing really 0_o! To save money here, you should fight monsters that you can kill in 1-2 hits CONSECUTIVELY!!! That means you ALWAYS 1-2 hit the monster and not 3, because that would be a waste of pots and time!!! Also, use your mana wisely. If a monster takes you 1 maxed Magic Claw to kill (20MP) and you can consistantly kill the monster with 3 minimum lvled energy bolts, (6MP) and that is 20 mana versus 18 mana. That way, you are conserving 2 mana! Even if you think 2 mana is nothing, wait till you hear this! You regenerate mana every 10 seconds and let's say you cast a spell every second. In 10 seconds, that's 20 mana! Wasted! If you regenerate 40 mana each time, you will only heal 20 instead! And let's not forget about Magic Guard (if you're a mage)! But if you cast 3 seperate spells, that will take up 3 seconds to cast and and you will cast 3 spls in the 10 seconds and 6 x 10 is 60MP and 20 x 10 is 200MP!!! You kill less enemies this way, but you save a lot more money.Also, hunt for monsters that have the most expensive NPC drop because you want to spend too much time advertising to sell stuff.

3. A Zakum Helmet. There are many ways to get around this (like saying yuo are your guild's merchant) but it is strongly recommended that your "partner in crime" has one.
Let's move on to the procedure.
Step 1.) Enter the Free Market and spam something along the lines of:
"Selling Zakum Helmet - REG or VIP - No noobs, serious offers please!"
That should attract some people.
Step 2.) Once you finally get a willing victim, it is suggested that you act very professional and that you have done it more than once. Try not to be too anxious or pushy, or it will give away the scam. Inform your victim of the prices for REG and VIP and offer if they would like to speak to a previous buyer.
Step 3.) If you're doing good, keeping calm, and being professional with the person, they should stay and want to make a deal. If they accepted the offer to speak to a previous buyer, that is when you invite your "partner" over and have him/her speak to the current buyer. Have your "partner" speak good things about you (loyal, trusting, gets the job done fast).
Step 4.) If they buy the REG price, than you should collect your money and log off for awhile. Boom, you made a "sale". If you are lucky enough to get a VIP buyer, ask them to log off for 1-3 hours and take everything off the account (equips, items, money, etc.).
Step 5.) It is strongly recommended that you never actually keep the account. Move everything on the account to one of your pre-existing accounts.
